**Restaurant Snapshot: A Culinary Gem Worth Experiencing** Nestled in a vibrant locale, this restaurant dazzles with both its ambiance and innovative plant-based offerings. Diners rave about the meticulous craft behind each dish, with standout items like the Original Grinder sandwich and vegan cheesecake earning high praise. While some experiences noted inconsistencies in service and noise levels, many guests were enamored by the flavors and freshness of the menu. The Butcher's Son continues to attract crowds, appealing to both vegans and non-vegans alike. With every visit promising culinary delight, it's a must-try destination for food lovers seeking plant-based perfection.
Absolutely, the food is delicious. However, the cheesecake truly brings me to tears of joy. I always opt for the plain version to fully enjoy its rich, pure flavor without any distractions from berry sauce. When I brought a whole cake to my family's Thanksgiving gathering, they were convinced there was no way it could be vegan—they thought TBS must be playing a trick on them. Plus, when I take the bacon camping, all my non-vegan friends and their kids line up at the skillet to get some!
This restaurant helped me transition to veganism during those initial months! When I had a craving for fried chicken, The Butcher's Son came to the rescue! The staff is friendly, and the food is fantastic! I recommend this place to everyone and will keep coming back as long as they’re open. Five stars just doesn't cut it for this place… and by the way, be sure to try the cheesecake!!!!!!
Every aspect of our meal was meticulously crafted, creating an impressive depth of flavors! Each taste is intentional and contributes to the overall fantastic experience. The Butcher's Son has officially become my new obsession, and I can't wait to come back and try the entire menu! The Original Grinder sandwich was a dream come true—it was everything I've ever wanted in a sandwich but could never find before. I wasn't just satisfied; I was truly blown away! My husband ordered the Blue Cheese Burger, and it was nothing short of amazing! Once again, the flavors were outstanding! It's rare to find a restaurant that excels on so many levels. On a busy Saturday afternoon, with plenty of good restaurants on University, only The Butcher's Son had a line that stretched out the door and around the corner! Can't wait to return, T.B.S.!
Omg please open a location in San Francisco in either the Haight or the Castro! I would eat here all the time. I had a hard time deciding because everything sounded so amazing. I decided on the chicken sandwich which was INCREDIBLE! Sampled a few desserts too--the blueberry cheesecake, the scone, the Rocky Road bar, and the cannoli. All amazing! My friends said their tuna melt was too greasy. Otherwise I can't say enough about how great my meal was. Expect a long lineup and limited seating! More locations please. This is the future of food! My friends have never seen such amazing vegan food options.
Came in yesterday with my lady after hearing about the place from a coworker.. Tried the pulled pork sandwich, mushroom and blue cheese burger, fried mozzarella and meatball sandwich... It was very good and when I say I thought I was eating real blue cheese, its because I did! 100% recommend and will be back..
