At this restaurant, inconsistencies mar the overall experience. While some patrons enjoy its clean ambiance and staff friendliness, others recount long waits and disappointing service. Instances of being turned away before closing time and icy gelato have left guests feeling frustrated. However, the highlight remains its stunning views and spacious outdoor setting. The vibrancy of families and children enjoying the space adds a charming aspect. Despite mixed reviews on the gelato and service quality, the restaurant offers a pleasant environment worth exploring, particularly for those seeking a casual outing with a scenic backdrop.

Was Lynda May at Lush a mag?
During our visit on a Monday afternoon, we found that Tunnel Tops had recently opened. The restaurant offers stunning views, spacious walking paths, beautiful lawns, and unique garden bed plantings. Additionally, there is a children's playground and even a fire pit. The visitor center was intriguing, offering a variety of reasonably priced souvenirs. What Rebecca T dislikes about Lush:
We came today and waited with a back in 10 min sign for over 30 minutes. There was quite a long line when we arrived of people who said they had been waiting even longer. This was very very disappointing, most of all for my 7 year old! While I hope the employee is ok, I felt like this should also be reported. (Tried to message privately to no avail. View all feedback.

Additionally, there is a children's playground and even a fire pit. The visitor center was intriguing, offering a variety of reasonably priced souvenirs. We noticed families and international visitors enjoying the space, with children playing soccer on the lawn and mothers pushing prams. Despite its size, the restaurant never felt overcrowded and could easily accommodate a large number of people and activities. Overall, Tunnel Tops is definitely worth a visit.
Delicious gelato, great flavors, great location! My personal favorite flavors are the orange cardamom and the stratecella.
Friendly staff. Clean and cute place with reasonable pricing. I got the bourbon gelato with macadamia and chocolate. The texture very bumpy and it was melting abnormally fast even though I started to eat it right away. There was not a strong flavor of macadamia or bourbon. Very disappointing for gelato in little Italy.
I have ordered 4 pints from this restaurant in the past, and two of them were so icy that they were not edible. I initially thought it was just a one-time mistake, so I decided to give them another chance and ordered 4 more pints. Unfortunately, I received icy pints again. I contacted the restaurant through their website, only to be told that the location in San Francisco is not affiliated with them. It turns out that the website I used listed the wrong restaurant. I called the restaurant and left a message, but no one ever called me back.
