The menu is a joy to peruse and everything looked tempting. But yeah go for the pecan waffles. Very tasty. Everyone there's in a good mood. Good vibes. Sign by the register said if I left a review you'd draw my favorite animal. Or at least one of my favs... how about a hyena? So, service happened to be a little slow when we were there but everyone was working hard.... just be prepared it might not be a quick breakfast. But it sure will be delish.

I was quite disappointed with this restaurant. I had high hopes of finding a laid-back breakfast spot in Berkeley, especially given the positive reviews and enticing menu. Unfortunately, we waited 45 minutes for our food, which turned out to be just an average omelette, biscuits and gravy, and pancakes. The only reason I'm giving it two stars is that the pancakes were passable. It was evident that the restaurant was understaffed; we noticed several flies buzzing around, and we even witnessed staff arguing among themselves. The bathroom was also in bad shape. I would suggest skipping this place—it's definitely not worth your time or money.
Situated on a bustling corner, this small and inviting neighborhood cafe has been a staple since 1979. The seating arrangement features a row of wooden booths that bask in the cheerful morning sunlight, a compact array of tables and chairs, and a counter with swivel stools at the back where you can catch a glimpse of the kitchen in action. The walls are adorned with artwork from local artists, all of which are available for purchase if you find something you love.
