So happy Cheeseboard began offering vegan cheese. They were my favorite pizza place before going vegan and now I can enjoy them again. The house-made (by the Butcher's Son) cheese that they use melts really well and has a good flavor. Of the vegan pizzas I've has so far it's the best. View all feedback.
I don 't see the point in complaining that a place called Cheeseboard isn 't vegan. If you want tasty, meat-free pizza in North Berkeley, look no further!
The Scones are my favorite, but many good breads. The pizzas are good, but I wish they would go a little easier on the cheese!

I appreciate that this restaurant offers a vegan option, however I have found that it can be inconsistent. While my wife really enjoys it, I personally think it's just average and opinions from others who have tried it vary greatly. The wait can be quite long, so it's best to inform them ahead of time if you'd like a vegan pizza. Despite these issues, it's worth noting that this establishment is a worker-owner Co-op, and I will continue to support them even though they could improve their service for vegan customers.
Looking for authentic pizza? Domino's and Pizza Hut just won't do. When it comes to a unique pizza experience, Cheeseboard has you covered. They offer a thin crust pizza made with high-quality cheese from next door. The menu constantly changes, so you never know what you'll get. The only downside is the price - $18 for a thin crust pizza can feel steep. However, the lively atmosphere with occasional live bands and a view of Shattuck Ave make it a fun experience. If you're in the mood for a light and flavorful pizza, skip the chains and head to Cheeseboard.
