Alborz - Berkeley
Alborz
Description
In the heart of Berkeley, a Persian restaurant invites diners to experience the rich flavors of Iranian cuisine. While some patrons rave about the authentic tahdig and attentive service, others voice concerns over long wait times and unsatisfactory dishes, leading to mixed feelings. Discrepancies in menu pricing and inconsistent food quality, such as bitter salads and unremarkable baked goods, have marred the experience for some. Yet, many highlight the warm atmosphere and delicious offerings, asserting it to be a standout in the Bay Area. Despite varied experiences, the allure of Persian cuisine continues to draw curious food lovers to this establishment.

I have eaten Persian food throughout the country and in the iran and this is the best Persian cuisine I ever had. there is not only a great selection, but everything I tried was great. highly recommended!
There is only something about this place that feels good and familiar. I was always so kindly greeted when I come in here, and eating is always amazing. recommend to the fesenjoon!
Delicious Persian style food. The Combo Plate (appetizer) included tomatoes, cucumber, humus, olives, onions, herbs, dolma, feta cheese Kash bademjan. We ordered three house specials: Gheymeh Bademjoon, Fesenjoon (with meatballs) and Zereshk Polo with baked chicken. Each entrée was served with Basmati rice topped with saffron. Each portion was generous and we all walked out with leftovers. Price per person: $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
