it is a small art museum at the kinrin lake. it is not free. these art pieces are mainly painting. the entry fee is six hundred yen for adult. next to the art museum there is a caffe. they serve a beautiful coffee and cake. the best part is that they can see the kinrin lake without interruption of tourist. the museum itself is not too attractive. but the atmosphere close to them gives them a great relaxation. What Elaine C doesn't like about Cafe La Ruche Gallery Shop:
To be fair, the food and the view is good. My reason for the 1 star bad review is because we waited 40minutes for our order (Just toast, eggs and sausage with salad). Seems like priority was served to Japanese. Many Japanese who arrived later than us had the same thing and left before us. At the end of our meal there is even a strand of hair found in the food. I will never come back again! View all feedback.
We were able to get a window seat to fully appreciate the beauty of Kinrin Lake. The café had a peaceful ambiance, likely due to my early arrival, allowing me to relish a delightful breakfast. We opted for the Laruche breakfast, which included a selection of Danish Pastry Bread, Prosciutto salad, Omelette, Jam Yoghurt, and Danish toast served with Hokkaido butter. The toast was exceptionally delicious even without any additional spreads!
The cafe is at the prime location just next to the beautiful Kinrin Lake, too bad that the weather had a different idea ! difficult to get a table on the deck outside, and equally not easy inside the cafe next to the window. we came here for the view, yet it will be great if the cafe could step up the quality of the food and the service !
The view from the cafe is unbeatable, but the drinks were more average. Most things were sold out by early afternoon
Nice view and bread. The breakfast plate is quite expensive so I had only bought croissants and coffee instead.
A nice view to the lake. A bit costly but the bike compensate it. It's open at 9am , and it's normally occupied the window side seats at 9.30am. Most of the tourists would like to take those seats. The shop suggested you 1. Take a seat 2. Queue and order food from cashier. You would have a number plate with you after payment. 3. Wait for the delivery.
