Yī Lì - Beppu

Amazing yakiniku restaurant by friendly older women and men. we sat at the bare seat in front of a star-looking man who finally let the food cook for us. his culinary skills were great and we really enjoyed eating. prime sirloin is a must, and also a tender one if they feel rich or decadent. other cuts were also great. will come back when I come back to beppu.

Very nice restaurant. the grill beef was really nice and the staff was very warm and welcoming. they had no English menu, and one of the waiters speaks only very little English, so the order was quite challenging. but in contrast to other restaurants that they just let everyone go, the waiters have really done a lot to help us. they showed us rehearsal and we also tried to order on the foods that other customers ordered (big thanks to the other customers then for the storage with us.) their warmth really made a great difference to make our dining experience really pleasant. but I think to balance the warmth and sincerity of the staff, eating is really great. the bark grill was really excellent and the price was very reasonable. if they happen to be in beppu near the train station beppu, I suggest they try this restaurant.

Had an amazing eating here on a random Monday evening in the januar with my family! the staff was helpful to order the bark fillet, kohl kimchi. the yaki sauce was epic! warm inviting environment - no English menu, but don't let it deter. here we are again!

Traditional Japanese bbq. the taste was beautiful and the price was also reasonable. only a bad thing was not so clean.

A review from a user in hongkong said she was charged more the other japanese customers. i visited the shop last night 25 nov 17 and personally, i was charged correctly and the quantity of food was excellent. i wouldn't say the quanlity of the service was very outstanding but definitly at japanese standard which i considered as good. it is quite expensive compare to other yaki shops i have visited in japanese but with the quanlity of food provided it pays off
