The service has been fine but the one at the top of the steps has a warmer welcome. Both have better ice cream than the Splendid hotel.

After having already ordered 2 coffees and a gelatto, my son -who doesn 't speak italian- asked the girl if he could taste the cheesecake gelatto; to which the girl answered in the most unrespectful way ' 'Of course not ' '. Thinking that she hadn 't understood what he had asked I told her that he just wanted to taste the cheesecake gelatto to which she replied visibly crossed ' 'I have understood it perfectly well ' '. I paid what she had already served and we left. I have never encountered such and unfriendly ' 'waitress ' '. Besides, although the coffee is indeed good, the gelatto is not half as good as others we have had during our 2 weeks trip over Italy..
