A hidden gem in the sleepy hollow of Bedford PA. Great restaurant right off the turnpike for those passing through; with plenty of history and hospitality. The tavern includes an upstairs restaurant and downstairs bar including a pool table a few old school games. Menu consists mostly of seafood but also includes wings and appetizers including cheese balls (which I recommend). A must try in Bedford PA! View all feedback.
What Boyd Schaefer doesn't like about Bedford Tavern Seafood House:
Awful experience. The appetizer was brought out with our meals, which defeated the purpose. And my dish was poorly packaged with the excuse that "the package folded well, but it's cute so it's fine?" I won't be returning and do not recommend it. View all feedback.
We took my niece here for her birthday dinner. I had the special Seabass which was very good and a couple of side dishes. Service was pretty good.
First time in Bedford, thought this place looked unique so we tried it. I can honestly say it was the worst meal I have ever had at any restaurant. We both had the crab cakes. I can say they were called crab cakes, they were shaped liked crab cakes and they were priced liked crab cakes, but these were the only resemblances to a crab cake. Even the regular fries and sweet potato fries were terrible. Everything burned, definitely micro waved too much!!!! Would not recommend this place.
The place was empty when we arrived but quickly filled up after the race was done.
My wife and I had a very nice dinner. She had the salmon dinner and I had the seafood salad and crab bisque. Our tomato crab appetizer was outstanding.
Friendly staff and great food went to bedford on a little weekend vacation had a good time and the owner came out and told us some of the cool and spooky history of the place which was super awsome to hear especially being a group of weird kids passing through from philly 10/10 highly recommend and will definitely be visiting again
