Golden Eagle Inn - Bedford

The place has a cozy and clean atmosphere. The room is spacious and the bed is very comfortable, plus the breakfast is excellent. However, the dinner was not up to par.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and I'd definitely stay here again. Breakfast was exceptional, featuring pita French toast. The dining options—both the pub with indoor and outdoor seating and the inn's restaurant—were convenient, offering a wide selection of drinks and delicious meals. Overall, I rate the rooms, service, and location as 5 out of 5. Hotel highlights include a peaceful atmosphere and great value.

Hands down, the best burger I've ever had! The bacon jam is absolutely fantastic. The fries are delicious, and the pretzel with beer cheese is a must-try. The mussels were also outstanding. Every dish I've sampled here has been excellent. If you're considering it, go for it! The outdoor seating is lovely, though the inside is quite small. Most of the servers have been fantastic, with just one minor exception (we all have our off days, right?). I highly recommend this place!

If you want to get yelled at by the owner this is the place for you. We came for lunch with a group of 16 people with reservations. What the lady from our group forgot to tell us was that they can only check us out as groups of 8. After getting there some of the couples and mother daughters wanted on the same check. That is when the oh so hospitable owner showed up yelling. Thankfully the wait and kitchen staff found a way to split the checks. Never again. Food drinks: The food was pretty good. Very limited menu.

The best included breakfast ever. Very nice historic inn. Rooms are nice and fit in with the history of the property. The best part of our stay was the food. Very upscale dishes at reasonable prices. The included breakfast of bacon, sausage, blueberry pancakes, and assorted fruit was fantastic. Our dinner of scallops and blackened Mahi with shrimp were also excellent.
