I ordered the Hungry Bear burger and fries, and I was pleased to see the portions were massive! This was perfect since we were camping that night and hadn’t brought much food with us. The burger and fries were decent, but not exceptional. The burger patty was a bit too soft for my taste, and the fries were more like large potato wedges. They lacked that irresistible quality that makes you want to indulge in just one more, even when you know you should stop. My friend opted for a soup, which he also found to be lackluster. On the bright side, the service was excellent; the staff were very friendly. One of the locals, Gary, who owns the land the restaurant is on, came over to chat with us, and that was a highlight of our visit. He was curious about our travels and shared some interesting insights about the area. While the food wasn't the best, it was definitely worthwhile to experience a local spot and have a conversation with Gary.

The portions were very generous, and the French fries were delicious. I’m not sure what other reviewers were talking about when they said the fries weren't good. Since there were many of us, we sampled a variety of dishes. I will definitely come back if I'm in the area again.
