It didn't hurt that the dishes tasted lovely either: bulgur, lentils, raisins and other ingredients made up the filling of the vine leaves, with tahini sauce as a perfect companion. For dessert I opted for the walnut baklava, and it was just another hit. Nevertheless, be aware that both dishes were served warm, and from what I could see of, and hear from, the kitchen they must have been microwaved. 17 and 7.5 euro (if memory serves me right) may not be large sums for a meal that is made from scratch.. but if we're taking these types of shortcuts then I'm afraid I have to say that, great though it may be, Kouj's food is just too expensive for what it is. On a different note, I tried booking by e-mail but never got a confirmation. I rang and they said that, on a Thursday evening, it wouldn't be necessary.

We tried the Mouhamara (roasted b... read more I discovered Kouj on another veg website and I was suprised it was not HappyCow! Their menu has clearly labeled vegan options. We tried the Mouhamara (roasted bell pepper dip) which was delicious. Then we had the Hovivi Tchash salad and Panra-Hats, both were very good too. And finally for dessert, they serve a delicious nuts baklava. The waitress was very nice.

I was with a friend of mine and we both enjoyed the service and the food, plus the armenian white dry fruity wine Karas was a very good idea to accompany the homemade dishes. I highly recommend it.
