Sandwiches made with all white sliced supermarket bread and must have been left out before serving as the bread had gone crusty (stale). Dirty cup and tea pot, sticky patches on the table. Scones were dry and only enough clotted cream for one (table for two). One of the cakes was very unpleasant (Victoria sponge how difficult is it to get that right). If I hadn’t have paid in advance I would have sent it back. This should have been a special occasion for a sister who traveled almost 200 miles to visit. Very poor food, nothing like it was billed on the website and not worth the money paid. Avoid queue for one of the other afternoon tea options rather than booking this in advance.
