I got some good tickets for this hotel so decided to take some friends for dinner, we were all surprised how good that was eating, we all had a cursor and each court was delightful, workers were professional and amusing and the bill a reasonable amount, thanks vespers for a nice evening!
We had a really nice evening at the apollo hotel in basingstoke. the starters were amazing, both were really impressed. the netts do not fully meet the same standards. Unfortunately, the restaurant was really quiet and so the atmosphere was dead. strangely the waitress seemed completely unprepared on diners such a very mixed experience.
We visited vespers after reading that it was one of the better restaurants in basingstoke. we were not disappointed. the food was good, with the pigeon strongly recommended. I found the skallops well presented and sukkulent; maybe a small bland to taste. desserts were also good and came with a glass champagne, which was a very nice note. the observatory was professional and quite a character, and he added to our pleasure of the evening. visit them when they are in the city.
Vespers Restaurant, Apollo Hotel, Basingstoke. A little gem in an otherwise colourless town. Friendly and attentive service from the young, French, Maitre d'. Excellent food veal cutlet for me and sea bass with broad bean and mussel sauce for my partner. The dark chocolate basket filled with white chocolate mousse and strawberries is chocoholic heaven.
Nestled within the Apollo Hotel in Basingstoke, Vespers presents a delightful dining experience marked by exquisite starters and thoughtfully crafted dishes. Guests rave about the quality of food, including standout options like venison terrine and pork belly, as well as accommodating service. However, the quiet ambiance often detracts from the overall experience, leaving visitors yearning for a livelier atmosphere. While the attentive staff strive to enhance the dining occasion, a lack of patrons has been a common theme. Vespers remains a hidden gem, offering great value and impressive cuisine that deserves wider recognition.

We had a wonderful evening at the Apollo Hotel in Basingstoke. The appetizers were excellent and impressed both of us. However, the main courses did not quite meet the same level of quality. Sadly, the restaurant was quite quiet, leading to a lackluster atmosphere. Strangely, the waitress seemed unprepared for customers, resulting in a mixed experience.
I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The staff were exceptional, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was very relaxed.
