Was Sean McManus at The Lime Leaf a mag?
Great spot, not too expensive and decent Thai food. Easy bosh and decent option in Basingstoke. The chicken wings on the starter platter was very nice, so was the duck. View all feedback.
What Charlie Thompson dislikes about The Lime Leaf:
A 10min walk from Canary Wharf station and you find yourself in a somewhat hidden area of docklands, here you find a couple of restaurants in among a residential area of apartment and flats. One of these restaurants is lime bar. I was taken here by a friend and decided to not check out reviews before my visit. I wish I did. I'm not going be kind to this bland, tasteless and unimaginative restaurant. Oh dear, looks li... View all feedback.

Dropped in yesterday for a snack and ordered the prawns and pork with crispy seaweed. Very nice, and friendly service. Also had the mixed ice cream (coconut, ginger, chocolate) plus the Thai coffee, which I enjoyed also...
I'm not normally a fan of Thai food, however, whenever I'm in Basingstoke for work, I always end up here! Reasonably priced, fantastic flavour and good sized portions. Excellent!

Really great food and service. Requested via booking to sit downstairs and didn't even have to mention when we arrived. As always, beautiful food (and really generous portions), awesome drinks and great service. All 3 of us were as jealous as eachother of one another's meals absolutely delicious and full of authentic flavour.
The restaurant offers a variety of cuisines, including Indian, Thai, and vegan options. Guests experienced mixed service levels, delicious food, and generous portions. Some had issues with long wait times and burnt dishes, while others praised the attentive staff and authentic flavors. The Aaloo tikki was recommended for its spicy Indian taste. Overall, the venue received positive feedback for its atmosphere, menu variety, and reasonable prices. Despite some issues, many patrons expressed a desire to return and recommend the restaurant to others.

Best thai we have since thailand! eating was fresh and service was great! recommend both the massemann and the pad cashew. the satay huh would have done with more sauce, because the huh was a touch dry, but I would order definitiw again. I need gluten free and had no memory, because everything was clearly marked and the staff seemed knowledgeable
Excellent eating, service and atmosphere. my pad thai was probably the best I had in Britain, and the five others with me all loved their meals too. the service was great; our waiter was extremely polite and attentive, and eating came out in good time and finally the mood in the restaurant was cozy and friendly I would definitely recommend if they are in basin gstoke!
Wow! eating was good can't fail. the personal was beautiful and attentive. the decor inside is really beautiful, great mood. good menu and veggie/vegan options that are important to me. first-time eating Thai food will go back here. just what I will say is that the salat leaves were dead and they were not served with dressing, but we were not as much harassed as more important for us were the hearty objects / meal
Eating was very good here. we are vegan and they had a great choice. the staff was really polite, nice and service was very fast. they tried to bring us. it was our 9-year-old daughter who told us that we left them a 5-star rating. we will definitely be a returning customer.

First arrived the restaurant was busy but the server says we could sit out side, I wish she would have said we’re full but ended up waiting a long time to get our starter, then waited another 30 minutes before the first mains turned up but then my partner had to wait another 5- 10 minutes to get hers, My dinner did not taste very nice the chicken tasted like it was frozen and heated up with no seasoning. The starters were not very nice and slightly cold . During our long wait we noticed a consistent supply of deliveroo cyclist turning up for online orders, I understand this might of helped a restaurant survive during covid but those times are gone and now the wait times have shot up because of this. Waste of money the quality has suffered compared to how it used to be run, what a shame the place used to be amazing
The service at this restaurant was very disappointing, as we were virtually neglected for a long time. We had almost finished our main course before receiving the necessary cutlery. The prawn crackers were burnt, although we were not charged for them. The spring rolls were decent, and the Thai beer was enjoyable.
This long-standing restaurant located at the top of Basingstoke town offers a variety of delightful dishes. The service is excellent and the food is expertly prepared. Suitable for vegetarians.
We visited based on personal recommendation and were not disappointed! Wow … the food was AMAZING! The best food I have eaten in a very long time… so fresh and tasty. We had a set menu and every dish was exquisite… a real treat for the tastebuds … the crispy duck salad was probably my favourite due to its intensely refreshing flavours of the salad against the heat and crispness of the duck… we will definitely be back!

Thai restaurant at the top of the city. GF elements are marked in the menu. There are many options and I think a lot of the menu is of course GF. I have always said I have CD and must follow GF diet etc. I've eaten 5 or 6 times there and not glutenized. I should say I usually go to lunch as they have a special menu and it is generally quite quiet. Oh and I always command the same chicken Satay with green chicken curry.
This Thai restaurant located at the top of town is a great option for those following a gluten-free diet. The menu clearly marks GF items, and there are plenty of naturally gluten-free options available. As someone with Celiac Disease, I always make sure to inform the staff about my dietary restrictions, and I have eaten here 5 or 6 times without any issues. I usually visit during lunchtime when they have a special menu and it tends to be less crowded. My go-to order is the chicken satay with green chicken curry, and it never disappoints.
