Was Anonym at Hatch a mag?
We had a pleasant dinner last night with our family. The space was clean and the service, particularly from Andy, was outstanding. The food, prepared by Chef Richi Gary, was more than excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening. Thank you for a great dining experience. View all feedback.
What Andy Blonde dislikes about Hatch:
I dined at this restaurant this evening with my daughter and grandson and ordered the chicken and ham hock pie, the steak and ale pie, and a child's burger with vegetables. I hadn't eaten here in several years, and to be honest, I won't be coming back! The service was good, but the food was awful. The steak and ale pie contained only a single piece of meat; the rest seemed like bits of minced meat and was mostly just... View all feedback.

When visiting my relatives in Basingstoke, I find the Hatch the best place for a good meal in good surroundings. It's very popular and worth booking in advance. Then there's still the problem of finding a parking space when you get there! The menu is varied and I have no difficulty in trying something new there, should I wish to. Meals are of very good quality and usually delicious. I've always found the staff here very friendly and totally efficient. The Hatch has beautiful gardens and outdoor seating should the weather be good enough. Highly recommended. Price per person: £40–50 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Camembert

This restaurant offers a fantastic dining experience. The food is exceptional, earning a perfect score of 5, and the service is equally impressive, also rated 5. The atmosphere is inviting and enjoyable, making it an ideal spot for a memorable meal. Plus, there's plenty of parking available, and it's free, which is a great bonus!
I dined at this restaurant this evening with my daughter and grandson and ordered the chicken and ham hock pie, the steak and ale pie, and a child's burger with vegetables. I hadn't eaten here in several years, and to be honest, I won't be coming back! The service was good, but the food was awful. The steak and ale pie contained only a single piece of meat; the rest seemed like bits of minced meat and was mostly just pastry. As for the chicken and ham hock pie, there was far too much pastry; I was very disappointed! The child's burger tasted terrible, and the only redeeming part of the meal was the chips. I definitely won't be returning! As chefs, we would rate the Hatch in Basingstoke a low 1 out of 10. It’s simply not for us, not even if the meal were free!
Nestled in a charming and beautifully maintained setting, this restaurant offers an exceptional dining experience highlighted by friendly and efficient service. Patrons rave about the delicious and artfully presented food, with standout dishes like fish and chips and liver pâté impressing even the most discerning diners. The inviting atmosphere, coupled with great value and a diverse menu, makes it a popular choice for families and casual visitors alike. Notably, the restaurant accommodates pets in its lovely beer garden, ensuring a warm welcome for all. With excellent service and thoughtful touches, this venue is a must-visit for anyone seeking a memorable meal.

Great. beautiful atmosphere, great service and eating is exceptional. in consideration of the favorable price I was very impressed by the clear effort and quality ingredients used. in any case they recommend this place. it is very popular, so book on.
Nice little place, food was great. Nice quiet area to be situated in. My waitress Charlie was very helpful, knowledgeable and professional throughout. Definitely recommend!
Enjoyed lunch today. Good food from a nice lunch menu, not too big but reasonably priced and very tasty, served in clean and comfortable surroundings. Amanda, our waitress, was lovely. And, just a side note, the playlist of music playing was lovely, a good listen and not too loud. Whoever drew this one up deserves a special mention.
The lunch was beautifully presented and hot. The staff was very friendly and efficient. The restaurant was beautiful and clean, with a very attractive entrance.

The staff was courteous as soon as we entered. I had the chicken pie, which was excellent, and the sea bass with scallops, which was also delicious. I will definitely be coming back!
I visited for lunch on Saturday, and it was fantastic. The food was high quality and reasonably priced, and the service was quick. What more could you ask for?
The meal was excellent, as always, though we did have to wait a little while. Our waitress was friendly and pleasant, which made the experience even better.
Since my partner’s family did not invite him out on Fathers Day I thought we two would go the The Hatch for a drink Sunday roast dinner. We did not...
