We had a pleasant dinner last night with our family. The space was clean and the service, particularly from Andy, was outstanding. The food, prepared by Chef Richi Gary, was more than excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening. Thank you for a great dining experience.

When visiting my relatives in Basingstoke, I find the Hatch the best place for a good meal in good surroundings. It's very popular and worth booking in advance. Then there's still the problem of finding a parking space when you get there! The menu is varied and I have no difficulty in trying something new there, should I wish to. Meals are of very good quality and usually delicious. I've always found the staff here very friendly and totally efficient. The Hatch has beautiful gardens and outdoor seating should the weather be good enough. Highly recommended. Price per person: £40–50 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Camembert
