We had walked past the open... read more Absolutely the best butter chicken I have ever had. Outstanding! My mom had never had Indian before, what a fantastic introduction. We had walked past the open doors several times, remarking on how delicious it smelled, but had already eaten every time. We happened to walk past one more time before leaving town and couldn't resist splitting an early lunch. The best meal we had in Basel, hands down. The naan was freshly made and delicious, as was the chutney. I could have had that butter chicken sauce as a soup and I would have died of happiness, nevermind the tender chunks of chicken. Scraped the bowl and didn't leave a morsel behind. The gentleman who served us was helpful, friendly and happy to recommend places to see and things to do. He was very proud of his city (rightly so), kind, and just lovely. We could have chatted with him all day. An all around fantastic experience.
