Beautiful burger spot in Darling Harbour. Had the Cheeseburger and Hot Chips. The burger was great, but the hot chips were the star of the show (they were amazing). Worth a visit.
Typical noisy Sydney outdoor vibe. Many suits come here for lunch and beer. Chips were Yum. They use a special salt that makes it hard to eat them. It's okay with Beer. Burger was presented beautifully and neatly. Definitely not sloppy. But you can say that this place is Japanese, how rare the meat was! The middle of my burger was pink like a baby.
I heard about this place when I was looking for a big burger connection in Sydney CBD. I haven't tried so far because I wanted a traditional classic burger instead of an Asian turn on a burger. I've tried so many places in the last few months, and nothing really woke me up. Last time I tried a burger who really pulled me out, and was my last TripAdvisor review, was at The Grounds of Alexandria Galeries Victoria Sydney CBD (read my previous review). I had food poisoning and after writing the review I remembered that the meat was not completely boiled and also really pink (by the way, the company had replied to my mail, asked me to contact them and my details so that they could chat me about the problem, and almost a month later after sending them my details, they never came into contact, so it was probably a way to look decent by reacting without intention. Anyway, it's about Ume Burgers. That was a FABULOUS experience. I went past this place last week and decided it would be my Saturday Burger! I ordered the Karaage Burger with the Pommes. The burger was the perfect size not obscene big and greasy as some burgers are, and the frits was actually a pretty big portion! The wort on the frits was brilliant and a novelty. I'm a fan of Karaage Chicken, so I thought I'd let that happen. I loved the burger and it was fresh like everything! The rabbit was soft and sworn. Chickens crispy, delicious and not too salty, and the sauce was perfect. Simple, but so satisfying. I'll order the next week! I think their burger menus are a good balance of not too much as some burgers in pubs that are so obscenely large, packed with too much and too bold, and a little bit cheeky! It's not cheap at $20 for a meal, but due to the small special spin on burgers you can't find anywhere else (Caraage Chicken, and treat a little Saturday, I'm happy to pay this. By the way, I have eaten my order by Uber, so it was quite fresh and I would say in the actual store it would probably be even better without the bicycle ride:
Great location looking out across the water. Choice of beer (including on tap), wine and cider along with soft drinks plus a happy hour. The burger choices were perfect for our group and the staff customer service was brilliant. Average price for a burger $14.
