Muum Maam - Barangaroo
Muum Maam
Description
Visiting this restaurant at Barangaroo for a special occasion, some customers were disappointed with the overall experience. While the food was nicely presented, it did not meet their expectations in terms of taste and authenticity. Some found the Westernized Thai dishes to be average and overpriced, especially considering the location. On the other hand, there were positive reviews praising the delicious dishes like the spring rolls, fish with tamarind sauce, and pandan sorbet. However, there were complaints about the rushed service, lack of staff, and tables being turned over quickly, which affected the dining experience for some patrons. Despite mixed reviews, the outdoor seating and modern interpretation of Thai cuisine received praise from some customers.

A fantastic place for Thai food in Sydney! The staff were knowledgeable about gluten-free options, the pad Thai was delicious, and I had no adverse reactions at all!
Gluten free menu but although deep-fried items are shown here, was advised that they were not safe for coeliacs. Ordered other options which were delicious but just wanted others to be aware that they do not have a separate fryer.
Have heard lots of great reviews of this restaurant, on coeliac FB pages, and this app. We avoided anything deep fried (the staff were knowledgeable enough that even on GF menu the fried foods, eg. Salt pepper squid or pork belly) is fried in a shared fryer. Food was delicious. BUT. Our coeliac child was really really sick within an hour of finishing our meal. Classic gluten response.
