While the waiter was helpful in highlighting the items I could have, my options were quite limited. My partner wanted to leave because of this, but I convinced him to stay and give it a try. What User doesn't like about Louisiana Purchase:
Our wives ordered a dish with mixed vegetables. They both enjoyed the sweet components but struggled to eat much of the pork because it was extremely peppery. I enjoy spicy food, but even I found the meat excessively hot. It seems unnecessary to use so much pepper in a pork dish without any warning on the menu.

What a fantastic restaurant! We sat on the deck and enjoyed the best bison burger, complemented by excellent service and a wonderful atmosphere. I highly recommend this outstanding dining experience!

The restaurant, now called 'LP on Main,' used to be 'Louisiana Purchase,' which was our favorite spot in Banner Elk for many years. It had the food and atmosphere we loved, especially for excellent Cajun/Creole cuisine. Sadly, the new LP on Main doesn't offer any Cajun/Creole dishes, which is quite disappointing. I fear we've made our last visit to this revamped restaurant, which is unfortunate since we are locals.
Absolutely fantastic! Everything from beginning to end was delightful. The wine was wonderful, the service was outstanding, and the food was EXCELLENT. I can't wait to go back!
