Amazing restaurant, such a beautiful location and grounds. Bar is always top notch. Views are the best for miles. Manager needs to relax though.

We didn’t stay at the Inn but dined for dinner. Eric was our server and he was knowledgeable and provided great recommendations. We very much enjoyed each dish and can’t wait to come back. Views are fabulous. Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Quiet

My husband and I have been come to this inn for numerous years (15 plus) Wish we could come at least once a month! We’ve stayed in several rooms but the Grandfather View is our favorite by far. They have remodeled several areas and what a delight. The cocktail bar is wonderful as is the seating area on the porch with expanded dining (and 2 seating times). The inn is close to downtown Blowing Rock to go shopping for the day and also Boone. We love this place and the staff is superb. This restaurant exceeded our expectations in every way. The building is historically significant. The view across the mountains is reminiscent of a painting. The food is as locally sourced as possible. The food presentation was wonderful, but the food itself was magical. The chef clearly takes great pride in his creations. Starting with the salad and culminating with the dessert , there is a taste surprise at every hoist of the beautiful silverware. No detail is spared. What consolidated the evening for us was our waiter (more than a server) ,Eric. From greeting us at the door to providing detailed information on the menu and wine list ,then bringing the multiple food courses,he was extraordinarily attentive but unobtrusive. I usually have no difficulty in finding something that might mildly annoy me. Even with supreme effort, I come up empty handed.
