3 senior golfers looking for something different after a round, chose Pine Yard a restaurant our family often visited when we lived near Bancroft. The buffet was not open, but there were extensive menu choices available. We had a variety to share: seafood, fried rice, noodles Cantonese Szechuan. All dishes were freshly prepared, and quickly served. Though a bit late in the lunch hour, several other customers arrived after we did, and all were served quickly.
By far the worst Chinese food we have ever tasted,worst 100 dollars ever spent! Even the dog wouldn't eat it
I would not recommend, but hey, if you like stale food made from frozen go for it. Canadian Chinese food with florescent orange sauce over deep fried battered nuggets with a tiny piece of something they call 'chicken' can be purchased and consumed here. If that's make you hungry then go ahead enjoy. Inexpensive, so a family might find this a good option if on a budget. As a kid I would have liked this place, but ones tastes mature as one gets wiser.
They were friendly and fast and the food was good but could use a little more favor. They also deliver, which is a plus.
I picked up takeout food, and while it was acceptable, it wasn't anything special. My main issue is that the sweet and sour dishes lack balance; they're overly sweet.
I love the food here. Always have.
