Hubby and I stopped here for lunch. The restaurant and patio were both very busy. We did get a table right away but the service was a bit slow. We both had burgers. Hubby had French fries and I had sweet potato fries. Everything was excellent. Servings are huge. Prices are a bit high for this area but not ridiculous. View all feedback.

We had a lovely dinner here but it is pricey, relatively speaking. Nice decor with huge canvases of local photos. Nicely decorated. Tried the truffle pavé potatoes- very unique and delicious! Steak was very good and cooked as requested. Very pleasant servers.
We like to eat at the Granite a couple of times each year when we're in Bancroft. The food this time again was superb, as usually the case; all three of us ordered the beef tenderloin medium rare with mashed potato and red wine bacon jus, along with a bottle of wine and dessert. The dinner was succulent, and the ambience superb as well including the guitarist performing this particular evening. Usually we eat on the patio, but cool weather forced us inside. Which turned out just fine - the dining room atmosphere was excellent. The service, however, could have been at a higher notch. For a restaurant which clearly is the top-ranked in Bancroft, and which strives creatively for an exceptional culinary experience, it's a little jarring to be referred to as "you guys" two or three times (there were two women and one man in our party) and no thank you offered with payment, although the service was otherwise friendly. In any case the overall experience was highly positive, and we'll be back.
We were greeted immediately as we walked into The Granite. Sat down and offered a menu and drink. HAD The best blackened Halibut every here --- it is a must -- cooked to perfection, a loved the crisped skin oh my goodness AMAZING!!!! I also had the best Crème Brule -- WHICH IS A FAVOURITE DESSERT for me!!!! The atmosphere was very very nice -- but not formal so we didn't feel under dressed.
It's been a long while since my last visit here, and I won't wait so long again. I loved the Blanche de Chambly on tap and the prime rib Sunday feature was superb. Chef quality and presentation, great service too. Truly a delightful meal and evening out!
