Ribs, brisket and wings were delicious. Collard greens on the other hand were not so good. To much grease and they tasted like they had sugar in them. The mac and cheese was a no go as well. Just completely had no taste. Will definitely go back for their meats though. View all feedback.
What Jonathan Yip doesn't like about Woodrow's -b-que:
A very small restaurant with a small number of tables inside, two sets of bench seating under shade and some bench seating on the sidewalk. Service was wonderful. Was expecting to grab food and bring to our table outside but they offered to bring it out to us. Wings came in 5 for half an order and 10 for a full. Ordered the half and it was nice a juicy. First time visiting and I was really pleased. The owner was the only person working due to shortages. He answered all questions and prepared the food quickly. The pulled pork , fries, ribs and greens all had good flavor and taste.
I came for the brisket and ended up falling in love with the ribs. I heard they had the best brisket in Baltimore, and I can confirm that's true. After making several trips just for the brisket, I decided to explore the rest of the menu and enjoyed everything I tried. I had avoided the ribs, thinking it would be hard to find a place that could truly master them. That was a mistake because these ribs are the best thing on the menu, and possibly the best I've ever had. They can sell out on busy days, so make sure to arrive early. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is great, and there’s some fantastic Merle Haggard playing in the background.
If you're a fan of brisket, this place is a must-try! The menu is packed with delicious flavors, and the pulled pork was simply outstanding. I can't wait to return and sample everything they have to offer!
What a wonderful little gem in the neighborhood! My wife and I really enjoyed an authentic Texas brisket sandwich and some incredibly tasty smoked wings that had the perfect crunch. We also tried the collard greens, cowboy baked beans, and skinny French fries, all of which were delightful. The owner, Matthew, was incredibly friendly, even while multitasking. I'm thrilled that it's so close to home, and we will definitely be returning soon!
