I was the... read more I live near this restaurant but had not been there before. While sitting down, the waiter accidentally spilled water on me. Oh well, accidents happen. I was there for the delicious food, so I decided to order some appetizers instead of a full meal. I was blown away by how tasty everything was, making me crave more immediately. The prices were very fair considering the generous portions and high quality of the food. I can't say it's perfect, but it's definitely worth a visit.

Southwest risotto was a real risotto and the Mac and cheese was homemade but what really made this place special was the classic music and the great artwork everywhere dedicated to Poe and Baltimore. Great cocktails, tavern fare, and service. Delightful EAP theme. The only thing missing was a heart beating under the floorboards. A must-visit for lit nerds and cocktail enthusiasts alike.

Kurt is phenomenal and always provides excellent service and recommendations. Its easy to see how passionate he is about his work and Annabel Lee. I 've been back there 8 9 times now the bartender Jess has been there almost every time I don 't like to speak negatively, but she is a HUGE disservice to this restaurant and all of the hard work that Kurt puts in with making his customers feel welcomed. It 's to the point to that I will call first now and if she 's working, I won 't go in or I will get my food to go. She is not friendly and is never attentive. She should NOT be in the service industry. Kurt definitely makes up for her negative and unfriendly attitude, though.
