Great place great vibe, but the food took almost an hour to come out. Super frustrating, but at the end of the day it was worth it. Because the ambience and the food and the service was good. Just took way too long for the food to come. View all feedback.

Despite the open demand to confirm my reservation, red star was closed when we arrived on Saturday night. there was nothing on the website, as well as no sign or explanation at the door just closed. fortunately we could go to another place. not sure what is on, but they should take off the open table and update or decrease their website. bummer because we like this place. Cool ambiance. Delicious versions of even brussel sprouts and cauliflower (appetizers). Very good chicken dishes. Generous drinks. Friendly. I recommend a visit. It's like a pub with expanded food selections.
Deja was the best bartender/house for dinner right at the bar. We cleared the cocktail list and couldn't have enjoyed the food more.

We visited Red Star for Sunday brunch. Our server Donna was wonderful! Unfortunately the food was pretty bad. The eggs were cold, the bacon was undercooked, and the bread used for the French toast was stale and they used plain sandwich bread to make French toast. It was probably the worst French toast presentation I have ever seen. We will give Redstar another try but just for cocktails when we are in Fells point.
