Gunther & Co. - Baltimore

Always an excellent choice. If you don’t dine out often this is a excellent choice. You will be treated to great food, service and atmosphere. Highly recommend Gunther.

Disappointing experience overall. Gunther does not live up to expectations. The food was good but not memorable. Two members of our party had the tagliatelle and both agreed it was watery, over-salted, and the individual components did not come together in a harmonious whole. The chicken sandwich was deemed boring, and a frozen coffee dessert was plated on an unappetizing watery liquid. But the worst part of the dining experience was the attitude of the staff. One party member asked for regular potatoes instead of sweet and was informed in a curt tone that the kitchen accepts absolutely no substitutes. Another member asked for her meat to be cooked well-done and was told the kitchen would not allow this. The restaurant itself is a lovely space and the atmosphere was lively, but none in our party are eager to return. Baltimore has many better dining options!

I took my wife here or a birthday dinner. We sat on the back patio which was nice. It’s heated even in the cooler fall months which I didn’t know. The service was fast and the food was exceptional. I had the Berkshire pork chop and my wife had the autumn pasta dish. We also shared the burrata appetizer and the house rolls which were amazing. The atmosphere was beautiful and all in all this is a wonderful place for casual dinners or special occasions. You don’t have to dress overly formal which was also a bonus. We were seated with a reservation immediately and the overall experience was perfect! They also brought my wife a baked Alaska dish for her birthday as a surprise which was a perfect final touch!

First time here and really enjoyed our brunch experience. The food was delicious and everyone enjoyed what they ordered.

10/10 service, food and ambiance! Beautiful restaurant in Baltimore with a really cool history behind the building. There is ample parking around the restaurant– which is always a win in the city– and the interior is just stunning. The drinks, apps, dinner and dessert were all incredible; I will be dreaming about the seared scallops for weeks. Thank you for an INCREDIBLE date night, Gunther!
