Marta Fine Food and Spirits is a new restaurant and bar in the historical Butcher's Hill community of Baltimore, MD. Helmed by the husband and wife duo, Matthew and Martha Oetting, Marta offers stylish American cuisine with a thick Italian accent. Chef Matthew's signature tuna tartar cannoli is a highlight in the crudo section, while guests can enjoy carefully curated entrees and housemade pasta dishes. Martha Oetting manages the bar program, featuring specialty cocktails like unique negroni, digestif, and appertif concoctions. The bistro atmosphere is comfortable and inviting, making Marta a remarkable dining destination in Baltimore.

This was our first visit to Marta, and we absolutely adored this charming little restaurant! Our server, Anthony, was fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and very professional. The food was outstanding, and we look forward to returning soon!
- Meatballs: 4/5 - Tuna Cannoli: 2/5 (fresh but each bite tasted the same, lacking depth of flavor) - Carbonara: 5/5 - Scallops: 4/5 - Bistecca: 3/5 (too greasy and seemed to be missing something) I would recommend updating the wine list, as many of the bottles offered are subpar and could easily be replaced with better options at the same price point. The service was average— our waiter was pleasant, but they forgot one of our orders. It’s also a bit frustrating when the table next to you receives much better service simply because they are friends with the waiter or staff. Overall, I’m on the fence about whether I would return.
Tuna cannoli is a food lover's dream! The octopus cacciatore brings fresh ocean flavors to the table, absolutely delightful! The truffle chicken is simply exquisite—chef's kiss! If you haven't tried the Dover sole yet, you're missing out! And the crab surprise in the carbonara? It blew my mind!
