Hadn’t been here for a number of years and was looking forward to a relaxing meal overlooking the course. When we arrived there were plenty of tables we would have liked but were told they wanted to keep us at one end of the restaurant and gave us a table directly under a TV which was far from relaxing. We moved to another table near but still amongst a crowd so did not get the relaxing experience we hoped for!!

The menu had plenty of choice, with something to suit everyone. The food was delicious — hearty portions, fresh ingredients, beautifully cooked and very reasonably priced. The Guinness was also excellent. The relaxed atmosphere made it easy to enjoy a proper sit-down meal without feeling rushed. It’s clear that this is a place where locals and visitors alike feel at home. Highly recommend The Lounge for a family-friendly meal in Ballybunion — we’ll definitely be back.

We couldn’t believe the size of fresh chicken Parma ham Caesar salad…and where would you get fresh rhubarb crumble coffee for €7? Burgers, steak sambos, Greek salad super choice on the menu. Lovely desserts too pavlova, sticky toffee, cheesecake, tiramisu they really know their customer base. Lovely staff too. Breakfast menu was lovely, will make sure to go early for that for my next visit. Really welcome addition to the casual food options in North Kerry.

Went last night the food was absolutely amazing can't wait to return also the service was exceptional as we had a young baby with us and as you know it can be t... read more Went last night the food was absolutely amazing can't wait to return also the service was exceptional as we had a young baby with us and as you know it can be tricky sitting down for a meal with a baby and sometimes you feel unwelcome but not in the wilde I would highly recommend it all five of us had a different dish and we could not find anything negative to say about any of the dishes each dish was of exceptional quality and great value for money thanks x
