Description

Alfies in the Ashe offers a mixed experience, with some diners raving about the best chowder and soda bread in town, while others are left disappointed by the service and lack of menu options. The restaurant impresses with creative cheese plates and well-spaced tables for social distancing. Delicious entrees like burgers and chicken teriyaki are enjoyed, alongside great drinks and friendly service. With some diners declaring they will definitely be back, it seems Alfies in the Ashe has both loyal fans and those who feel improvements are needed. Overall, a place worth visiting for a satisfying dining experience.

I believe the menu could benefit from more variety. I ordered the chicken stir fry, expecting it to come with noodles, but instead I got overcooked spaghetti, which wasn’t very pleasant. I also think they should consider adding a roast dinner option. The staff were friendly, but I likely won't be coming back until some improvements are made.

During our one-night stay at the Ashe Hotel while exploring Ireland, we had a fantastic dining experience featuring delicious meals and pints of Guinness. The kids really enjoyed their meals and desserts, while we savored the salmon and Hereford steak.

I highly recommend this restaurant for lunch, brunch, or dinner. I have visited multiple times and it has been consistently outstanding! The skillet cookie is incredible and the cocktails are tasty.

We had a wonderful time enjoying a nice bottle of wine and asked for a cheese that wasn't listed on the menu. To our delight, the restaurant surprised us on both evenings with an amazing cheese platter.

I went to this restaurant for lunch and I have to say, they have the best chowder in the city and the best soda bread. It was hot, creamy, and full of delicious seafood. We traveled to Tralee from the United Kingdom to visit family for a few days, and we will definitely be coming back for another amazing experience.
