Was Cathy Davis Dauthier at Bernard's a mag?
Bernards' Pralines are undoubtedly the best reason to put an end to making pralines at home. They are absolutely delicious! I can't fathom how they could be improved—they have perfected the recipe, preparation, and shipping; everything is just right! This is one purchase you'll never regret, whether it's a gift or a treat for yourself. I haven't had the chance to try their lunches yet, but I can't imagine they wouldn... View all feedback.

What James L dislikes about Bernard's:
I ate here on 9-17 -2016 and it was just okay. My plate consisted of what may have been the smallest turkey wing I have ever seen in my life. White beans and rice steamed broccoli and salad. The best-tasting items on the plate were the white beans and rice and the steam broccoli. The turkey wing again was small, dry and flavorless. The service was okay , as for the price I was willing to pay for it so it was okay. I... View all feedback.

The breakfast was absolutely amazing! The cheese grits were fantastic, and the service was prompt and welcoming. You absolutely have to try the pecan bites. I will definitely be returning!

This fast food spot suits my taste perfectly—it's cafeteria-style! The red beans and rice are incredible, particularly when paired with the tender, flavorful neck bones. Additionally, the sweet potato and peach cobbler were outstanding!

I can't keep this hidden gem a secret any longer—this place is absolutely wonderful! My family and I stopped by for breakfast this morning and were pleasantly surprised to find it wasn't crowded, even on a Saturday. Why choose IHOP or Waffle House when you can support a local business? This restaurant is family-owned and operated. Bernard, or Mr. B, was busy in the kitchen cooking and singing along to some soulful tunes. He even took the time to chat with us during our meal and was so friendly. The women behind the counter, possibly his wife and daughter or maybe other relatives, were just as kind and accommodating. It truly has the feel of a lovely country kitchen serving soul food. I can only imagine how delicious their lunch and dinner offerings must be! We thoroughly enjoyed our coffee and breakfast, and the unlimited coffee refills were definitely a nice touch. I highly recommend checking this place out—just go experience it for yourself! Bring your family along! Plus, it's conveniently located near the zoo, making it a perfect family outing. Don’t forget to visit Greenwood Park for the splash pad, walking trails, playground, and boat rentals!

Purchased meatball and spaghetti special. The meatballs were seasoned well but the sauce was tasteless and unseasoned. The sides of lima and green beans were straight from the can.
