A great evening. Photo op with Frost Bank Tower was my plan, met some nice people working in Shiners and a few surrounding areas. It took a little to get my food order, the bartender was super nice. Thanks for the step back to the time for my genealogy research also here. Leave and relax. Not busy as it was a week at night. I recommend I will definitely return! Thanks, everything was clean too! What User doesn't like about Shiner's Saloon:
Good luck drinking here with less than an hour. bartenders have no idea who to help. came here to celebrate a birthday of friends and the bartenders basically ignored us for an entire hour (the bar was basically empty, which was even more infuriating) View all feedback.
I had a fantastic time! Gene's live performance was outstanding, and the service and drinks were top-notch. I highly recommend visiting if you're in Austin.
I had a fantastic visit! The staff was fun, and there were games to enjoy on the rooftop, including an adult version of "Operation." It was a great experience with live music and plenty of seating available.
Shiner Saloon is a hidden gem in downtown Austin. With fantastic music, reasonable prices, and excellent bartenders, it's a must-visit. The food is surprisingly good, and the rooftop patio offers live music and games, making it a perfect spot to unwind. Don't overlook this incredible bar!
I had a wonderful evening! I planned to take some photos with the Frost Bank Tower and ended up meeting some friendly folks working at Shiners and nearby places. Honestly, it took a bit of time for my food order, but the bartender was extremely accommodating. I also appreciated the opportunity to dive into my genealogy research here—it was a nice step back in time. It was a relaxed atmosphere, especially since it was a weekday night and not too crowded. I highly recommend it and will definitely be back! Plus, everything was clean, which is a big plus!
It’s just a cozy hole-in-the-wall, and we absolutely loved it. The entire place has a vibe that reflects countless nights of revelry, showing signs of age and wear all around. The drinks were affordably priced, and the staff were very friendly. The bathroom was a bit dim, but that’s to be expected. There was a sign near the entrance that mentioned “Topless Waitresses,” but we didn’t see any around.
