Great visit, fun staff and games to play on the rooftop! Who doesn?t look like an adult version of ?Operation?? Great time, live music and plenty of seating!
Good luck trying to get a drink here with less than an hour wait. bartenders have no idea who to help. came here to celebrate a friends birthday and the bartenders ignored us for basically an entire hour (the bar was basically empty which was even moreinfuriating)
I had an amazing time! Gene's live performance was fantastic, and both the service and drinks were top-notch. If you're in Austin, you definitely should check it out!
If you intend to enjoy a drink at this place, be ready to wait for at least an hour. The bartenders appeared unsure about whom to serve first. I visited to celebrate a friend's birthday, and we felt completely overlooked for an entire hour, despite the bar being almost empty. It was very frustrating.
I recently visited this sixth bar for the first time, and I had a wonderful experience. The beer was cold and delicious. The rooftop terrace and the interior of the bar created a laid-back vibe with a fantastic atmosphere. I would definitely prefer Shiners over some of the other choices in downtown.

Shiner Saloon is a true hidden gem located in downtown Austin. The venue features fantastic music, affordable prices, and outstanding bartenders, making it a place you don’t want to miss. The food is surprisingly delicious, and the rooftop patio, complete with live music and games, provides an ideal atmosphere to relax. Be sure not to overlook this amazing bar!

I had an amazing time during my visit! The staff was lively and engaging, and there were plenty of games to play on the rooftop, including an adult twist on "Operation." The experience was enhanced by live music and ample seating available.

Great rooftop ambiance, conveniently located near the Paramount Theater. The brisket nachos were delicious, surpassing typical bar food.
Great country music and Shiner Bock on draft, plus a wide selection of other outstanding beers! The rooftop bar offers a fantastic setting.
It's a charming little gem, and we genuinely enjoyed our time there. The ambiance is warm and inviting, showcasing the character that comes from years of lively gatherings. The drinks were reasonably priced, and the staff was incredibly welcoming. The bathroom could have been a bit brighter, but that's typical for places like this. There was a sign at the entrance about "Topless Waitresses," but we didn't notice any while we were there.
Noisy rooftop. Pretty good beer selection, esp considering it's closely tied to a specific brewery. I recommend the slow-pour porter with nachos, sliders, or kolaches.
I'm heading back to my Airbnb at Shiner's Saloon, and the music coming from the window caught my attention! It sounded like a full band, but it was just Drover Mad skillfully using his foot pedals to create amazing melodies. What an incredible experience on my first night in Austin! The menu also offers a great selection to enjoy while soaking in the atmosphere.
