Description
**Exploring the Culinary Landscape at Fireside**
Fireside presents a mixed bag of experiences that evoke strong feelings among its patrons. While some diners savor the traditional Jamaican offerings, such as flavorful oxtail and buttery coco bread, others have been disappointed by inconsistency in food quality and service. Tales of undercooked rice, sparse portions, and spoiled dishes hint at lapses in kitchen and service standards. Nevertheless, a few positive reviews highlight an inviting atmosphere and generous servings, suggesting that with a keen eye for quality control, Fireside could reclaim its status as a local gem. For now, potential diners may want to tread carefully.

I wasn't feeling well at all, so I decided to stop by and ordered the chicken soup and the salmon plate. I have to say, real food really made me feel so much better! The atmosphere was clean and peaceful, and the prices were very reasonable for the generous portions. The servers were friendly, too.
When we inquired about the portion sizes, the staff responded with such disdain—if looks could kill, we would have been done for. I've dined here several times in the past, but this was by far the worst experience I've had. I plan to throw the food away! If I were to return for a refund, I can only imagine the reception I would receive. It was a complete waste of $30, especially given the current economic climate with inflation on the rise. Shame on you, Fireside. You won’t be seeing any more of my hard-earned money!
Food is hit or miss...mostly miss. Rice might not be fully cooked, over-salted stew peas, more fat than meat (oxtail and stew beef). The service staff is ALWAYS a miss, not to mention rude, unwelcoming, and not in the mood to give any useful information (like they are out of a particular menu item). They throw the food on the plate like they are dashing away their last bit of hopes and dreams. No customer service skills and they don't even try. Go if you must but be prepared to be annoyed and possibly disappointed once you try to chew that undercooked, dry a rice.
I had a terrible experience with the customer service, particularly from the male staff. The cabbage was undercooked, and the stew chicken was so overcooked that it tasted like leftovers that had been reheated. It was truly a waste of both time and money! I should have turned around when I noticed the negative attitudes right from the start.
