The service is great until something goes wrong even after being polite about it… The beef tataki managed to be made chewy and overly salty. Used to melt in your mouth… We got three different rolls and one of them tasted as if it had been in the fridge for a while or the rice wasn’t well prepared (Red dragon) and we were still charged for it at a discounted rate even though we did not eat it. Pretty sure this is the source of the food poisoning. The other two were good but not to the standard I was used to at Kobe. The miso soups had the bare minimum amount of tofu and seaweed. Very disappointed, used to be my favorite restaurant had multiple celebrations here as well. Seems like recently they’ve fallen off. Hope they recover but until then I do not recommend.

Enjoyed the freshness of everything and will be somewhere I return when in the area again. Plus can walk around the downtownafter and enjoy what Ashland has to offer. The trio of brûlée was the only item I would say that didn?t live up to the entiremeal. Was just okay, wouldn?t order that again. But hey it?s a sushi spot so?.

I highly recommend trying the Kobe Drop. The entree portions were quite generous, and the items on the small bites menu were perfect for sharing with my wife.
