The service is great until something goes wrong even after being polite about it… The beef tataki managed to be made chewy and overly salty. Used to melt in your mouth… We got three different rolls and one of them tasted as if it had been in the fridge for a while or the rice wasn’t well prepared (Red dragon) and we were still charged for it at a discounted rate even though we did not eat it. Pretty sure this is the source of the food poisoning. The other two were good but not to the standard I was used to at Kobe. The miso soups had the bare minimum amount of tofu and seaweed. Very disappointed, used to be my favorite restaurant had multiple celebrations here as well. Seems like recently they’ve fallen off. Hope they recover but until then I do not recommend.

Wait staff is so friendly and wonderful. This place is absolutely amazing!

The organic mushroom... read more We typically visit Umami in Ashland, where they offer $5 avocado peanut rolls. This time, we decided to try Kobe as a special treat. WOW!!! The organic mushroom salad was so incredible that I couldn't help but brainstorm how to replicate it at home. The vegan sushi rolls were beautifully crafted and absolutely delicious. It was quite busy on a Saturday night, and they were strict about mask-wearing (it's Oregon, after all), but we didn't mind it at all for the chance to enjoy such amazing food. The service turned out to be fantastic as well. Without a doubt, this is the finest and most sophisticated vegan sushi I've ever experienced.

I highly recommend trying the Kobe Drop. The entree portions were quite generous, and the items on the small bites menu were perfect for sharing with my wife.

However, it was on the pricey side, which I assume is due to the cost of sourcing fresh fish and other ingredients for the restaurant. Just keep in mind that you’ll need to spend a bit if you decide to go.
