My daughter and my son-in-law are plant-based eaters who rarely go out to dine because of their limited options. They want fresh, organic foods. Agave is one of the very few places that they dine. We were a large group and the food was good. I thinkthey are a little overpriced because it's not outstanding or that much better than other Mexican restaurants. We sat outside andtook our time. Like so many businesses, they are understaffed and the service suffers a little because of it. Certainly worthgoing here if you're downtown and in the mood for Mexican food.

Wonderful flavors. Homemade chips and salsa but the nickel and dime-ing is pretty heavy. $6 for a shrimp taco and they come with three little shrimps. A couple oz of salsa for a party of four means I?m getting up several times to ask for more salsa? andthen chips. It?s a fine restaurant in a good location, but the portions leave me hungry.

Now located at 5 Granite in Ashland, just across from their former location, this restaurant offers a fresh and healthy menu with plenty of vegan options. The Winter Squash and Portabella tamale is a standout dish that is explicitly marked as vegan and tastes fantastic, complemented by a rich red sauce. The salads are also excellent and creatively crafted. They continue to offer non-vegan options, and it's worth noting that the beans are prepared without pork.

The food was incredibly fresh and delicious, presented beautifully. The margaritas were fantastic as well.

I tried the chilaquiles and the green chile chicken tamale. The tamale was excellent, but I’ve had much better chilaquiles. They lacked flavor.
