I'm quite surprised by some of the reviews on here. We picked this place because we walked passed it as we got off the boat. We thought the quality of food was excellent. The service was also very prompt and the staff very friendly. We did debate the irony that the best Italian meal we had eaten so far in our Italian holiday happened to be in Switzerland.The price is more expensive than Italy and this is exacerbated... We waited 20 minutes to be served, even though we asked if there was any room left. Afterwards we were served so “politely” (at the dirty, uncleared table) that we immediately left the restaurant without eating anything. View all feedback.

Die traumhafte Lage am See macht leider keine gute Küche! Die Pizzas (Fr. 21.00 und 24.00) mit offensichtlich billigen Zutaten waren extrem schlecht und gummig.
Wir waren kürzlich über die Mittagszeit im Al Gabbiano. Meine Pizza Calzone ging vermutlich vergessen, kam sie doch erst als alle anderen schon fast fertig gegessen hatten. Zudem war der Käse im Innern noch nicht mal richtig verlaufen. Entschuldigung oder sonstige Geste - Fehlanzeige. Man scheint es nicht nötig zu haben, die Lage ist zu gut - ich kann mir jedoch nicht vorstellen ,dass die Anzahl der Wiederholgäste hoch ist .. Wir werden auf jeden Fall nicht mehr hingehen.
Detestable to flee urgently. Zero-point service, waiting time to be served 1h30. And not even a commercial gesture, oh yes 2 unfortunate limoncellos. Unacceptable value for money. Never again for me.
We were greeted very friendly and served by an articulate waiter. The food was excellent. Freshly prepared salad, very tasty pizza and pasta and generous portions. There was even a free limoncello. Ci vediamo La prossima volta
