Was Thomas Miller at World's End - Patching a mag?
Came for a girls’ pre-Christmas lunch (turned out to be a three course meal! Lovely friendly staff, excellent choice of food, delicious meal. It’s not the first time we’ve been and it certainly won’t be the last. Highly recommended. View all feedback.
What Caroline Tessier dislikes about World's End - Patching:
WE ARRIVED FOR OUR PRE BOOKED TABLE AT 18.00 ON A THURSDAY EVENING ONLY TO BE TOLD THAT A COUPLE OF ITEMS WERE NOT AVAILABLE, OK SO WE CHOSE FROM THE MENU ONLY TO BE TOLD THAT NOW THOSE ITEMS WERE UNAVAILABLE, AND HAD TO DECIDE AGAIN, THIS IS NOT VERY GOOD SO EARLY IN THE EVENING, AND MAYBE IT WOULD BE BEST TO ADJUST THE MENUS WHEN ITEMS HAVE BECOME UNAVAILABLE SO TO AVOID THE DECISION MAKING OVER AGAIN. The food at this restaurant was delicious, the staff was attentive, and the prices were reasonable. They also had a wide variety of beer options available.
We tried out the Sunday dinner at this restaurant and found it to be delicious overall. However, one of our group members ordered the Treakelschwammpudding and was disappointed. She found it to be dry and lacking in syrup. When she requested more syrup, it was served in a small pot that was too hot to touch and difficult to pour. Unfortunately, she described the pudding as "terrible", which was disappointing considering how good the first course was.
The staff at this restaurant are extremely friendly and provide great service. The food is also very delicious.
My friend and I had a lovely evening and meal there. We were informed during the evening that the pub was closing for a few months for refurbishment, all we can say is that we chose the World's End because of the way it is at the moment so please don't take away the lovely atmosphere that it has at the moment, we did consider going to the Beefeater at Crossbush but looking at the website photos and reading the reviews which were poor we decided that it looked rather plain und unwelcoming.
