While previous visits promised a delightful dining experience, recent reviews paint a less favorable picture. Patrons have encountered delays in service—even for simple orders—accompanied by a lack of attentiveness from staff. Some diners highlighted issues with food quality, finding certain dishes overpriced and underwhelming. However, there are glimmers of hope in the outstanding fish and chips and the charming atmosphere. For those seeking a reliable dining option, it may be wise to explore alternatives that better respect customer experience and value.
Hang down the best fish and chips I've ever had in my life! I've been trying to visit this facility for some time and even though their hours are.
We were in this hals of the forest for not the best reasons, but that does not mean that we could not stand out from chips we had hoped to come to lunch.
I'm sure that this guy had a surf and had a shave on special scallops and black pudding with chips just have to try next time I'm back.
Drove by edinburgh and the ones tasted in anstruther and stonehaven can honestly say that this is the best fish and chip shop I tried from a mile. the chips were amazing and the scallops were enormous. will definitely be back and highly recommended.
The wee kelpie last night visited for the first time and was not disappointed! the best chippy hands down iw ever had the fish was so fresh and the teig so crisp. the chips were crispy outside and fluffy inside it could not fail. part was just the right size and even enough. 100% back be highly recommended
