This was a pretty good place to eat. We were out and about around 8-9AM and grew hungry, searching for a place that would be open at that time of day on a Sunday. We were not disappointed. We sat at a table and looked through their extensive menu. According to staff, everything on the menu was available to order, not just breakfast items. I was delighted because I definitely was craving more of a lunch than breakfast. I ordered the haggis bites, the tandoori chicken as well as the spicy prawns. Our food came out pretty fast and very hot (a plus! . Unfortunately, we could not order any alcoholic drinks before 11AM. The chicken was very delicious. It was soft, not very chewy and flavorful. I am on the fence about the sauce that it came with. It was ok, but not something I would miss if they took it off the plate. The spicy prawns were my favorite though. They were extremely good and the sauce that came with it was very good as well. The haggis bites...well I 'm sure if you like haggis, you would think it to be delicious. It wasn 't nasty, but let 's just say it 's one of those things I need to develop a taste for. However, I definitely was not a fan of the sauce. Now, I loved the prawns so much that I went up to the counter to order more. However, I said shrimp and the guy mistook me for saying strips and brought out chicken strips. I told him that I wanted shrimp...the prawns but he wouldn 't take it back and just said Sorry. I was a little ticked off, but the strips were pretty good. There is nothing more that can be done about that situation. Be reminded that when you order, you have to go to the bar counter. Aside from the incident above, the staff was friendly for the most part. The restaurant totes a casual flair and was very clean although a little dark. The prices on the menu items seemed fair and were not overly expensive. Overall, If I lived here or stayed longer I would definitely be back. It seems to be a very nice restaurant with slightly above average food and I 'm sure the drinks would have been great if only we had arrived after 11.

The Henry bell Being in the area and wanting to try somewhere new I came across the Henry Bell a JD Weatherspoon chain pub that has only been here about Two years, I remember how a lot of people in this area did not want this group moving in as other bars in the area where already struggling. On looking up the only review that was available I was a little weary on any JD Weatherspoon pub having a five star rating, even though the bar still looks quite new where where a lot of areas that looked to have been forgotten about and so standards have been let to slip. The whole bar and dining area looks great and well thought out, designed in a charles rennie mackintosh theme and style but on a pound land budget. With damaged light fittings and plenty of blown bulbs everywhere l looked, I could see that a lot of pride and motivation has gone in this bar. Like any bar in this group people come for the cheap drink and fast food, and when l mean fast my food was on the table in under four minute's from the time l chose the table, ordered at the bar chose some sauces and got to the table the food was there to meet me. My order was the southern fried chicken Goujons, and a burger the chicken was fine and the burger being more on the bland side, but you pay for what you get, cheap fast food. Overall experience ok, the place looked good and the toilets where better than some five star establishments, but there where ten bulbs blown in the restrooms alone. The service may have been quick or a little too quick but had no personal touch, I may as well have been served by a robot. Recommended for cheap drinks food.

We were looking for somewhere to eat after a drive to Helensburgh and were not disappointed with this pub. We knew it was a Wetherspoons, so knew the kind of things that would be on the menu. We were really surprised with how nice it was inside, and the staff were really friendly. We opted for the two meals for £7.49 and had the Mac Cheese, it was piping hot and a decent sized portion for the price. The pub was immaculate as were the staff and eating utensils. The locals were friendly and we got a few hellos from them. Would recommend it for food or for somewhere to pop in for a pint or a coffee.

Nice pub in Helensburgh. I can't get over the go to the counter in all the Scotland pubs for drinks and food. Busy place with a good atmosphere. The fish and chips were very good.
