**Restaurant Review: A Culinary Gem in Appleton** Nestled in the heart of Appleton, this restaurant captivates diners with its exceptional steaks and made-to-order dishes featuring fresh ingredients. The inviting atmosphere, complemented by attentive service, enhances the dining experience, although some reviews noted occasional delays. The menu is a standout, boasting an array of delectable appetizers and desserts, highlighted by favorites like goat cheese and bananas Foster. While prices are on the higher side, many patrons believe the quality justifies the cost. For those seeking a unique dining experience free of chain restaurants, this establishment remains a top choice for food enthusiasts.
Great (and I'd happily return) but not amazing. The service was friendly and prompt though the restaurant wasn't too busy that evening. Cocktails were good if a little sweet. Had the curry mussels and goat cheese in tomatoes as appetizers and they were delicious. Tenderloins and strip steaks for entrees (au poivre, with porcinis, and with horseradish). I found nothing exceptional about any of the preparations, they seemed to add nothing. Overall, a good meal, but I felt it was more expensive than it should be given the experience.
My partner and I recently visited this restaurant after a long break due to a previous disappointing experience, and I'm happy to report that this time was much better. While it wasn't extraordinary, it was a definite improvement. We started with the octopus, which came in a delightful tomato-based sauce. The octopus was tender and full of flavor, quickly becoming a favorite of ours. My partner enjoyed a fantastic piece of halibut, also served in the excellent tomato sauce with olives. The fish was perfectly cooked—moist, tender, and well-seasoned. I had one of their steak strips, which was nicely prepared and seasoned, accompanied by a lovely pan sauce. However, I found the steak to be a bit tough and not well-rendered in terms of fat. For dessert, we tried the bananas Foster, which was very enjoyable. The restaurant itself is charming and cozy; however, the service was slow and not very attentive. There were several moments when we had to wait for drink refills or our food, so don’t expect a quick meal. Overall, I would rate this experience between a 3.5 and a 4. We will definitely be returning to explore more of their intriguing menu options.
The steaks here are outstanding, and the menu is truly exceptional. There’s a wide selection of wine and specialty drinks available. Every appetizer and dessert on the menu sounded fantastic. We shared the goat cheese appetizer and indulged in the tiramisu after enjoying the evening's special for dinner. The side vegetables were cooked to perfection. While the prices are on the higher side and the portions are modest, the freshness and quality are top-notch. If you're on a budget or looking to save money, this might not be the best place for you, as you might find yourself preoccupied with costs instead of enjoying the wonderful food and ambiance. If you're not in the mood for a full meal, treat yourself to a nice martini or a bottle of wine along with some dessert. We will definitely be returning!
Hands down the best steaks in the Valley! The owner is phenomenal and our service was impeccable. Every aspect of our meal was delicious, elegant and cooked to perfection! Our meal was on the pricey side, but honestly worth every penny! Can't wait to come back...we even bought our Mom a $150 gift certificate to here for Mother's Day!
I absolutely love this restaurant! I've dined here at least a dozen times, and while I found the old location to be cozier and more intimate, the quality of the food remains exceptional. I've never had a meal that I didn't thoroughly enjoy. The oysters, goat cheese, ceviche, and feta cheese are all fantastic appetizers. The tomahawk ribeye and the rack of lamb are outstanding as well. The drinks are crafted with care and consistently hit the mark. I would give it five stars, but on my most recent visit, they were out of ingredients for two of their five signature cocktails and their featured entree, the tomahawk ribeye, which I usually order. Overall, it's a great restaurant and definitely one of the top five in the Appleton area that you should visit.
