Description

Beloved neighborhood eatery earns rave reviews for consistently excellent food—especially its empanadas—and attentive service. Menus span breakfast, brunch and dinner with Latin-European influences, clear vegetarian options and seasonal cocktails. The interior is warm and stylish, great for celebrations, though the space can feel cramped and loud. Regulars praise the quality but miss rotating empanada flavors and wish for more evening hours. A quirky, high-quality spot best for brunch-lovers and foodies, but less suited to those with sensory sensitivities.

This restaurant is a charming spot for breakfast! The welcoming ambiance and delicious food make it a fantastic choice. They offer a wonderful variety of vegetarian options, all clearly labeled. I highly recommend trying the coffee featured at the end of the menu (I can't recall the name), but it was absolutely delightful when served iced! Plus, they get extra credit for using metal straws!

What started as a quick lunch during our road trip turned into an unforgettable dining experience! Tucked away among various restaurant options, Author's Kitchen is a true hidden gem that shouldn't be missed. The charming and inviting decor sets the perfect atmosphere for a fantastic meal. Although parking can be a bit tricky, there is plenty of street parking available, and a short stroll after your meal is always a lovely idea, right? Don’t forget to take a moment to appreciate the artwork as you enter and check in at the front for seating. The staff were attentive and courteous, and we were seated shortly after arriving. We chose the lunch special, and the risotto was outstanding! There’s plenty of seating, and it seems they also have a full bar and a coffee area. I do wish we had space for dessert, but we were quite full after the main course. Did I mention that this meal definitely calls for a nap afterward? Treat yourself to a visit to this place; I promise you won’t regret it!

What a wonderful way to celebrate the first day of fall! The atmosphere was charming and inviting, and the decor was simply beautiful. The Not So Old Fashioned cocktail was delightful, and today’s soup special—a cheesy mix of broccoli and cauliflower—was perfect for marking the seasonal shift. I’m looking forward to my next visit!
