Feedback
Sultan Restaurant, a beloved establishment since 1976, has received mixed reviews recently, reflecting its long-standing appeal and some noticeable shortcomings. Many patrons cherish the flavorful Turkish cuisine and warm, attentive service, often highlighting dishes like the iskender kebab. However, a few disappointed long-term customers expressed frustration over recent service lapses and inadequate portion sizes, suggesting a decline in value. While some describe the atmosphere as cozy and bustling, others cite issues with food presentation and staff responsiveness. Ultimately, Sultan remains a popular choice, but it seems there may be room for improvement to ensure all diners leave satisfied.
I went to this restaurant on Tuesday to celebrate my 60th birthday. From the moment we walked in, we received a friendly welcome. There were happy birthday lights on the table that my friend had organized, along with a balloon at my seat. We were seated and ordered a Turkish shot with an aniseed flavor, as well as a bottle of prosecco. After a few minutes, the waitress took our order. We both chose Sucuk, my favorite dish which comes with salad, spiced onion sausage, and warm pitta bread. It was very tasty. I also ordered Yogurtlu kebab with pitta, while my friend had Karasikizgara, which is normally served with rice but she asked for pitta bread instead. The plates came out very hot, but we were warned about it and it kept the meal hot throughout. I didn't have any dessert, but my friend had baklava and I had a small bite to try. Then my birthday cake came out. The food was fantastic, and it was prepared by a very talented female chef. If you want great food and service, I would highly recommend Sultan 5 star.
