The walk from the city to the golf club on a summer was pleasant and once we were next to and then in the grounds the famous local fauna was on. we made ourselv... read more The walk from the city to the golf club on a summer was pleasant and once we were next to and then in the grounds the famous local fauna was on. we made ourselves to the bistro and decided for a table outside instead of in the busy dining room. the main menu included classic club dishes, pasta and salads, with specialties on the chalkboard.

Went there for dinner 27/1/15) nice friendly atmosphere with great views kangaroos foraging and ducks waddling around the course. Meals were nice... Fish n chips 2 thin fish pieces and chips), garlic prawns with plain rice in a nice garlic and oil sauce needed a little more salt for my liking), calamari with chips and my fussy eater, the chicken tenderloins. Meals were not big, but enough to satisfy. Family restaurant and a nice place for a meal. Recommended for nice night out for the family.

That's another golf club. if they are looking for gourmet, this is not the place the menu is as they expect for a golf club bistro, and it is very well done. we... read more That's another golf club. if they are looking for gourmet, this is not the place the menu is as they expect for a golf club bistro, and it is very well done. we stopped for dinner on Thursday night. two children in the tow. more comfortable place. the children loved seeing the kangaroos on the way. the staff was friendly and helpful. looks like a popular place among visitors and locals. if they are looking for where they have a relaxed family dinner in anglesea, this is certainly one to consider.

Vibe was RSL style, older guys who have finished up on the course and keen for a drink staff were very friendly and accommodating esp since dining with a 2yo. Food was average, trio of dips was huge, same as side of chips! The main chicken and mushroom was a let down, more water then creaminess. So beautiful venue for a drink but wouldn't come back for a meal.
