Bold American Fare - Algonquin
Bold American Fare
Description
Bold is a charming, upmarket-casual spot in downtown Algonquin that draws praise for inventive small plates, standout seafood (lobster dishes), generous cocktails and a friendly bartending team. Guests frequently celebrate birthdays and date nights, enjoying balcony seating and attentive servers. Experiences are mixed: many applaud excellent food and service, while others report inconsistent menu availability, occasional overcooked/bitter dishes and brusque management or strict outdoor-reservation policies — plus unclear pricing on specials that can lead to surprise bills. Overall a stylish neighborhood draw with uneven execution.

Quite a bit disappointment! We used to be regular customers there but it’s gone downhill. What kills me more is twice now we’ve asked to sit at the bar and we’ve been told that it’s too busy so they can’t tonight they decided to change their mind and move us over to the bar after trying to set us in a corner small table with a loud customer sitting next to us, (mind you no one was at the bar) and even after we were done paying still no one sitting at the bar except for the owner and a worker which means they weren’t busy like they claimed. There was no need for all this and the food was only average for $240
