The food is lauded for its quality, making it a standout in a food court setting. In contrast, Panda Express receives varying reviews; while some appreciate the cleanliness and warm food, others criticize service and food quality. What Alda Paucek dislikes about Panda Express:
Personal opinion, this along with other Panda locations noodles always taste burnt or like something else. As far as the cleanliness and customer service it's right on. View all feedback.
I was let down by my experience at this restaurant. After reading reviews, I decided to try out the food at Coronado mall. I ordered the gyro plate and found that there were only a few thin slices of beef and lamb gyro meat covering the rice. It felt like the meat was arranged very carefully. The plate also came with a dry salad and there was no bread included.
I ordered the beef shawarma platter. The taste of the food was disappointing and the portion size was incredibly small. However, the sauce had a delicious garlic flavor that I enjoyed. Overall, the experience was not too bad, but I probably won't choose this restaurant as my first option.
I paid $20 and received an overcooked shawarma, one pita bread, mushy yellow rice, and a disappointing tabouli that was more like cucumber salad. I wonder where they get their recipes from. This may be the best option in the food court of this small mall, but I won't be eating here again. If you want to taste real shawarma, visit Brooklyn, NY.
My Lebanese parents are very picky when it comes to middle eastern food and commented that the food at Shawarma Express was “outstanding” and gave it their stamp of approval. Excellent food every time! Don’t skip the appetizers! The hummus, baba gannoush, dolmas and falafel are all delicious.
