Frenchish - Albuquerque
Frenchish
Description
Nestled in the heart of Nob Hill, this restaurant offers a unique fusion of French-inspired and creative cuisine. Diners rave about the delectable burgers, butternut squash mac and cheese, and cocktails, while others have noted inconsistencies with flavors in certain dishes. Although the atmosphere is praised for its cleanliness and friendly service, some have experienced slow service, leading to mixed experiences. Overall, it’s a charming spot for those seeking a thoughtful dining experience, though patrons should be mindful of parking constraints and COVID-19 vaccination requirements.

The deviled eggs were delicious ? the sauvignon blanc paired wonderfully with the day boat halibut. The fish was tender, flaky and Loaded with flavor!! The squash was a nice touch that brought it all together. I hope to return soon for their quaint environment and friendly service, not to mention the delicious food!Food: 5/5
One of the best burgers I've ever had in my life. Incredibly rich and flavorful but not so heavy that you leave feeling overly full. And the fries are maybe even better than the burger perfectly salty and almost impossibly crispy, with delicious frite sauce being the cherry on top. They're so well fried that they actually keep overnight, suggesting that they employ some form of magic in making them, as most other fries turn to soggy garbage after a nap in the fridge. The carrot dog is also very good, as is the mac and cheese. The menu seems to rotate somewhat frequently, although some staples remain in every iteration. Some of the items can be quite expensive (especially by Albuquerque standards) but I've yet to have anything that I felt wasn't worth the price. The burger is a great deal comparatively at $14, but you really can't go wrong. But maybe just get the burger.
I really wanted to like this place. But the service was slow, the food was only okay. When there are far better restaurants within walking distance, it makes it hard to say that I would go back. We ordered the cauliflower, the scallops, steak. The cauliflower dish was bland. Incredibly bland. The scallops were good but the lentils werent incredible. The steak was the highlight.
Incredible experience! The caviar was a bit of a treat and paired wonderfully with crème fraîche and saltines. I even added some to the deviled eggs, which were a steal at $3 in 2022, and it was a perfect combination. The heirloom tomatoes were exactly what you hope for during the summer, and the brown butter added a delightful richness. The filet was cooked to perfection, and the compound butter offered a lovely garlicky and lemony flavor. The fries were slightly overcooked, but that was a minor issue. The berry hot milk shortcake was exquisite. The cocktail menu was thoughtfully curated, along with a great selection of affordable wines by the glass. The service was exceptional. If you have the chance to sit at the bar with Tanya, do it! She is knowledgeable, professional, and a lot of fun. This was a fantastic outing, and I look forward to returning for more casual dishes, which I know are also on the menu.
