Food was ok. Bit over priced for what we had which was the set menu for 10 people. Highlight was salmon entree and dessert but forgot to take picture of dessert. Had a piece of thigh chicken that was undercooked - pink and clear near the bone. Sent back to kitchen but chef thought it was ok. Other chicken pieces were slightly pink but still edible. I was really hoping I'd love this place, but it missed the mark for me. I normally love traditional and modern Japanese food, but found the dishes here way too rich. There was a lack of flavour balance and the dishes don't seem to mesh well together. Some items (e.g. tuna, prawn cracker) were severely over-flavoured and too salty for my tastes. Prices are crazy expensive especially compared to portion size. Ambience is nice, we were seated at the bar which seems to be the practice for couples, but I didn't mind as the open kitchen is very entertaining. Service was great, we were well attended-to throughout the evening. I think this would be a fabulous place for a cocktail with friends and some delicious fresh oysters, but not really a great dining experience.
