A very interesting location for a small Japanese fusion garden styled cafe. However, despite the location, the place itself was very pleasant. It had a very garden like feel to it with simple decorations and very smartly created menus from children's books. The menu itself had a variety as it is a cafe there were food that included sandwiches and classic breakfasts with a little touch of Japanese cuisine. I personally tried one of their Teriyaki Chicken rice bowls and it was absolutely amazing! As a true fan of Japanese food I was most delighted with the outcome. It was simple yet filling. Perhaps I had arrived with zero to no expectations and thus I was taken by the surprise. Service was friendly and had a relaxing atmosphere. Perfect to come for breakfast or lunch by yourself or with a company or two. <br/ (Since this review, the cafe has changed owners and the menu is different now.
After being stranded at Parafield and eating the overly oily and salty mess food, my palate craved an almighty change – something more simple, something more bearable, something nice. However, I was ultimately disappointed by two proponents of horrible food and service in the form of Chinatown’s residents, Ryo’s Noodles and Lemon and Lime Thai Café. Hence, to wrap up my Adelaide adventures, I flicked through the internet to discover a pleasant surprise located within the CBD of Adelaide.
